Information

To really get the best out of your family I rarely shoot a session under two hours.

It's just enough time to get the kids to settle and be themselves, for you to settle and be yourself and for moi to capture authentic and honest moments of your family.
If you are just having an afternoon session we are guided by the setting sun. That means I will only shoot for about one hour. You can still pack a lot of love into one hour.

These sessions are for you if …

If I’m honest, and I’m aaaallll

about keeping it real, these

sessions aren’t for you if…

FAQ

So how do we get this party started?

Hit me up via my contact page. You will find a handy little contact form to fill out with some questions regarding what type of session you are after ie newborn or family session? In home or outdoor? etc Once I receive this info, I will make contact with you and we will discuss your session and possible dates. Your session will be locked in once I receive the deposit. After this point we will have some more chats about your session in regards to locations and outfits etc. Please note that weekend sessions book out ahead of time so if you are looking to get a weekend session book in advance.

What does natural light photography mean?

It just means I don't shoot in a studio and use things like soft boxes and flash to light my images. I rely on good old mother nature to bring me some beautiful light for my images and I love the variety that using natural light brings. Sometimes this means the light is soft like on an overcast day, sometimes it gives me strong contrasts from our beautiful Aussie sun. Whatever it brings it will just add to the feel of the day that you spent together making these memories. Not working in a studio also gives me the flexibility to photograph sessions in your own home. Something I am hugely passionate about because I feel it adds memories to your photographs that are truly personal.

When is the best time to book maternity and newborn sessions?

Ooo good question! For maternity I like to book around 32-36 weeks. For newborns if you want to capture the newness and tinyness then I would suggest the first 6-10 days. This is the time to capture the little reflexes, stretches and yawns that come in the early days.It really doesn't last long and is over before you know it. Otherwise anytime up until 4 weeks is still pretty small. I do baby sessions at any age and stage it just depends what you want to capture and what you would like the focus to be on. Once babies are smiling for example, you capture more of them interacting with you in a different way than you would with a newborn.

I'd love a session at home but my house doesn't look like anything on instagram

Spoiler...no one's does! If you are worried about mess and clutter don't be. We all have it and if you have kids you have it in spades. I like a home that looks lived in, I like to see that you actually exist between these walls. After all it’s your home. These little reminders are the things that we will see in an image long after the time has gone and it will transport us straight back to that time. It makes an image more tangible, more personal. That said, its great to get rid of the clutter. Clear papers and clutter off surfaces, get a broom and just push everything into the spare room (junk room) for the day. If its still there 6 months later toss it! Thanks Marie Kondo;)

What if my kids misbehave?

It's not an if, it's definitely going to happen. But it's not something to worry about! I have four kids myself and I have pretty much seen it all! I will not be silently judging you. I will be doing all my tricks to make the session fun and all about them. We will play games, dance, bribe. At the end of the day, a grumpy child is going to get cuddles and loves and that makes some pretty awesome photos too. The absolute, hands down best thing you can do to limit the fall out, is keep smiling on through it. That way, at the very least, you know you are going to be looking good in the photos.

What if we are sick?

We reschedule. No problemo! That goes for me too. If I am sick I sure don't want to be giving it to you and yours. Especially when it comes to the bubbas.
